    Jennifer M. Smith graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2000 with honors and clerked for the Honorable Robert J. Kapelke, of the Colorado Court of Appeals before joining a private practice in Denver. Jennifer is an active member of the Colorado Women's Bar Association, and received the outstanding committee member award. Her commitment to immigration and naturalization include pro bono bond hearings for immigrants detained by the Department of Homeland Security.

    Jennifer specializes in immigration and naturalization and founded her own law firm in Glenwood Springs. The firm serves Colorado's Western Slope communities including Aspen, Rifle, and Grand Junction, as well as clients and businesses all over the world. She served on the steering committee for the Community Integration Initiative, has been a member of Club Rotario Roaring Fork, the Board of Directors of English in Action and was awarded the Jackie Morales Community Service award in 2010.

    Her immigration and naturalization expertise includes working on numerous family-based, employer-based and other visa processing matters, including H1B's, E visas and J visas. As a member of the appellate unit at the Office of the Attorney General, State of Colorado she filed over 150 briefs in the Colorado Court of Appeals, and 20 briefs in the Colorado Supreme Court and argued in front of the Colorado Court of Appeals over 16 times, and in front of the Colorado Supreme Court 7 times and won over 90% of her cases.
